Advantage Of Having A Lucas Sawmill
Our Lucas Sawmill gives us a serious edge the ability to cut massive logs into precision lumber and slabs up to 78 inches wide. That means oversized timbers, dramatic live-edge slabs, and one of a kind boards you simply can’t get from a standard mill or lumber yard. Whether it’s a statement dining table, custom stair treads, wide plank flooring, or structural beams, this mill lets us unlock the full value of each log with accuracy, efficiency, and minimal waste. If you have big trees and big ideas, the Lucas Sawmill makes them possible.

Wood-Mizer Portable Sawmill
Our Wood-Mizer portable sawmill lets us come directly to your property and turn your logs into valuable, custom-cut lumber on site. Instead of paying to haul logs away, you keep the wood, control the cuts, and get maximum yield from every tree. It’s fast, efficient, and precise, ideal for builders and landowners who want high quality lumber made from their own timber.

Kiln Dry Wood
We use high heat Northland Kilns, a computer controlled electric dry kiln. Wood expands and contracts based on moisture. When lumber is not dried to the proper moisture content for furniture grade quality of lumber, it continues to move after installation which leads to Warping, Cupping, Cracking and Gaps
Kiln drying controls moisture before installation, preventing those problems from happening later.

Advantages of Kiln-Dried Lumber
The Kiln Drying Process
Proper kiln drying is more than heat is controlled drying to a predetermined
moisture content.
Step 1 – Milling
Logs are cut into lumber, slabs, or dimensional stock.
Step 2 – Sticker Stack
We sticker stack your lumber at your job site to begin air drying.
Step 3 – Controlled Kiln Drying
Wood is placed into the kiln and dried through carefully controlled
temperature and humidity cycles. This gradually reduces moisture to
interior-safe levels without damaging the wood.
Step 4 – Moisture Monitoring
Moisture content is measured throughout the drying cycle to ensure
consistency.
Step 5 – Post-Kiln Storage
Dried lumber is stored in a controlled environment to maintain stability.
Step 6 – Final Use Planning
Material is matched to its final application — flooring, cabinetry, slabs,
beams, or custom projects.
